Video Description:

The Seat of Mercy visits the city that never sleeps. For the first time, St. Patrick’s Cathedral hosts “NightFever,” an open evening of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Following the movement begun at World Youth Day in Germany, every passerby is invited into the Cathedral. Leaving New York’s busy streets behind, all who enter are given candles and invited to the altar for a personal encounter with the Mercy of the Eucharistic Lord – drawing close, renewed, and rekindled by Light of the World.

Filmmaking Advice:

The video features the original song, “The Little One,” written and performed by Alyssa Pintar. The original lyrics to this piece of music recount the story of St. Therese of Lisieux – a saint known for her simplicity and trust in God’s infinite mercy. “I know well that it is not my great desires that please God in my little soul, what He likes to see is the way I love my littleness and my poverty; it is my blind hope in His mercy, this is my only treasure.”

Night Fever in New York City is a beautiful, sensitively filmed video. Nice to see a peaceful, positive, spiritual side of a great city.
