The Creed

“…each will be rewarded immediately after death in accordance with his works and faith…”
Temperance:
“…Temperance is the moral virtue that moderates the attraction of pleasures and provides balance in the use of created goods…” CCC 1809
“To live well is nothing other than to love God with all one’s heart, with all one’s soul and with all one’s efforts.” CCC 1809
The goal of the Christian life and charity:
“Love is itself the fulfillment of all our works. There is the goal; that is why we run: we run toward it, and once we reach it, in it we shall find rest.” CCC 1829
The video immediately pulled me in with the simple shaking of the word cubes in the container, and held my attention throughout. I think today’s audiences want fast and brief and this definitely offers that. At the end I did feel wanting for just a bit more of a punch in the message. Perhaps the brevity just didn’t give you enough time to bring it around to that kind of conclusion. I do think that what you did in the short span was very effective and will engage young viewers, giving them just enough to ponder and draw their own conclusions. Nicely done!

I liked the opening sequence, and would like to have seen some way to extend it so that the film could tell its own story visually. The shots underscored the narration, but neither really told a story. At times the narration seemed to be there mostly to justify the shot. The film had a very strong and effective visual element, I would have loved to have seen something that built on the strength of the opening shots to tell a more personal and engaging story.

The opening is a grabber, and the montage of games effectively portrays distractions, choices, strategies and alternatives. A great metaphor for “surface level” existence. The tweezers searching for the heart is worth the price of admission alone!
This video has great editing, movement, voice over and emphasis driving to a clear point.
Great visuals!
I like how you used games that most of us are familiar with to present your message, including highlighting words that can make an impact. Simple, brief, but packs a powerful punch!
