1. Saint Peter was crucified upside-down, and Saint Paul was beheaded.
Saint Peter is in Saint Peter's Basilica, Vatican City; Saint Paul is in the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls in Rome.
2. On June 24 we celebrate the birth of Saint John the Baptist. The other two are Christmas day: Nativity of Our Lord and September 8: Nativity BVM.
3. In Lanciano, a priest was doubtful in the Eucharist and when he began Consecration of the mass for the people of the town when the eucharist and wine was turned into the actual body and blood of Christ. The connection between this and the Shroud of Tourn is that the blood type was the same between the two.
4. The saints approved as patrons of the youth event are St. Isidore the Worker and his wife St. María de la Cabeza; St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross; St. Rose of Lima; St. Francis Xavier; and St. Rafael Arnáiz. This last saint was canonized just last October.
5. "Vicar of Christ" is a a title given the Pope implying his supreme and universal primacy, both of honor and of jurisdiction, over the Church of Christ. It is founded on the words of the Jesus to St. Peter: "Feed my lambs. . . . Feed my sheep" (John 21:16-17), by which Jesus constituted the Prince of the Apostles guardian of His entire flock in His own place, thus making him His Vicar and fulfilling the promise made in Matthew 16:18-19.
